Embracing my own Journey

From my Journal:

"August 18th 2009

Today begins a new path, a new chapter if you will, in my Epic life. Through, much sacrifice as well as countless blessings, I find myself preparing to embrace a new journey. This is a time of self reflection, as well as self growth, I pray that this is only the beginning of my adventurous life. My morning began with a sleepless night, packing and preparing to fly to San Diego, simply to take care of some final business. Now, here i am...a stressful morning and final goodbyes...of course after an earful of Do's and Don'ts from those i love. Past security, after 5 full security bins, I stumbled upon 5 glorious dollars! How Fortunate!!! After going to the bathroom and getting myself clothed and 1st class looking, I quickly made my way down to my gate eager to begin my Journey. Sitting anxiously, I heard the man nect to me popping open up a warm fresh bacon, egg cheese crossaint. I could even hear him take his first bite, sinking his teeth into his moistened breakfast sandwich. It was definitely crispy, though you could hear the egg squish in his mouth. Thanks to the world's best Mister(Mother/Sister) and Briaw(Brother in law) i was treated to first class. I even had the rocker look going for me, sporting my new zebra jacket and my purple camer shirt. I sat in peace as my fellow flyers passed only one other gentleman and myself as they slowly stepped toward the main cabin. Tears keep appearing in my eyes at the thought of 5 months of little communication with those I love, especially my mister and briaw, claire bear, the gang, and tey butt. After an unforgetable experience at the aquarium with teylor, i'm going to miss her dearly. As for my sister and her beloved husband, i'm beyond grateful becuase, after recently having to make some difficult decisions, they have not ceased to sacrifice for me. One day, I pray that God blesses me with a good job that i can take care of them. My flight just announced that there is a 2nd place hot dog eating champion on my flight, heading down to SD to reclaim his title. That's all for now, we'll see what happens when we land!"
